UPSC CSE 2025: Civil services prelims exam admit cards out

The admit cards for the 2025 Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination have been made available by the Union Public Service Commission, or UPSC. The UPSC CSE Prelims admit cards are available for download on upsc.gov.in and upsconline.gov.in.

The UPSC CSE Prelims exam will be held on May 25.

The commission has requested that applicants hold onto their UPSC CSE preliminary admit card until the exam's final results are announced.

Important directions for applicants have also been issued by the commission along with the admit cards:

1. At the exam location, participants must present a printout of their admit cards. Applicants will not be permitted to take the test if they fail to provide their admission cards. Additionally, candidates must possess a photo ID card, the number of which is listed on the admit card.
2. Candidates will need to bring a photo identity card, two passport-sized photos (with name and date of photo), one for each session, and an undertaking if their photos are unclear or lack numbers and dates.

3. Any inconsistency in the admission card should be reported right away to the commission via email (uscsp-upsc@nic.in). 

4. The exam site will close 30 minutes before to the exam's planned start time, which is 9 AM for the morning session and 2 PM for the afternoon session. After the entrance is closed, no candidate will be permitted to enter the exam location. 

5. Candidates must  ensure that all the details such as name, photograph and the QR code on their admit cards are correct. In case of any discrepancy, they should contact the commission.

6. Applicants are not permitted to bring any bags, luggage, expensive or valuable objects, cell phones, smart watches, other electronic devices, literature, etc. onto the testing grounds. The venue supervisors will not make any preparations for candidates to keep prohibited goods, therefore they should not bring them.

7.  Only the e-admit card print, a pen and pencil, identification documentation, copies of their own photos, if any, and any additional materials included in the admit card instructions may be brought by candidates.  

8. Discipline, including cancellation of candidature, filing of a formal complaint or FIR against the candidate, and prohibition from appearing in subsequent examination sessions or days, will result from the possession (even when in switch off mode) or use of mobile phones and other electronics/communication devices, or from any other incriminating material (notes on e-Admit Cards, papers, erasers, etc.). In accordance with the guidelines in the examination regulations, the commission may also take additional suitable measures.

9. In order to complete the OMR answer sheets and attendance list, candidates should additionally bring a black ballpoint pen. 

10. Ordinary or basic wrist watches are permitted in the exam rooms and hallways.
