Notification of AFCAT-I 2026 was announced, and registration opened on November 10

Men and women are encouraged to apply for the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT 1) 2026 in order to become Group A Gazetted Officers in the Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches of the Indian Air Force (IAF). Courses starting in January 2027 will take the AFCAT 1 2026 exam. The online registration process will start on November 10 and run until December 9, per a brief announcement made yesterday. The official AFCAT website, afcat.cdac.in, is where candidates can submit their applications.
The Flying Branch's age limit is between 20 and 24 years old, whereas the Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches' age limit is up to 26 years old, according to the eligibility requirements. Candidates must have a graduate degree in a related field and have passed the 10+2 in mathematics and physics. According to the official rules, applicants for technical disciplines must also fulfill certain engineering qualification requirements.
Three steps will make up the AFCAT 1 2026 selection process: an online written test, an interview with the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB), and a medical examination. Shortlisted individuals will receive final training at the Air Force Academy at Dundigal, Hyderabad.
The goal of the AFCAT 1 2026 recruitment is to induct officers for the course in January 2027.
