IP University Launches Online Programmes: The Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), commonly referred to as IP University, has announced the commencement of their online Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) courses, adding to their undergraduate courses offered through online education.
This batch of three-year programs will be started on September 15, 2026.
Online BBA and BCom Programmes at IP University
These BBA and BCom programs have been made available online so as to ensure greater convenience to students who might find it difficult to attend conventional classroom programs. This would allow students to pursue their bachelor's degree programs without attending classes in the conventional manner.
This development comes in light of increasing demand for flexible and technologically advanced education programs in the country. Online degree programs have become increasingly popular among students who would want to juggle their studies along with other commitments.
GGSIPU has also been developing digital content for education purposes. Earlier, University School of Management Studies at GGSIPU had announced a notice about the development of MOOCs for BBA and BCom programs.
Three-Year Degree Programmes
Three years will constitute the period of the online BBA and BCom courses. It is anticipated that these programmes will offer the students well-structured undergraduate training in management studies and business and commerce through online courses.
The BBA course will be more suitable for those who want to study about business management, entrepreneurship, marketing, finance and human resource management. The BCom programme, on the other hand, will be suitable for students interested in studying commerce and its allied subjects.

GGSIPU has been offering a range of undergraduate programs like BBA, BCom (Honors), BCA, etc., by its traditional admission process. The GGSIPU 2026 admission brochure lists BBA and Allied Programs under program code 125, whereas BCom (Honors) program is listed under code 146.
However, the online programs launched recently are independent of any campus-based admission process of the university.
First Batch to Start September 15
According to the recent update, the starting date of the online BBA and BCom courses will be September 15, 2026.
