Delhi Police Initiates to bring school droppers back to classrooms

To assist school dropouts in reentering the educational system, the Delhi Police have started a new program called Nayi Disha. Children and teenagers who have dropped out of school because of poverty, family problems, or other difficulties are the focus of this community outreach effort.

Local police departments will locate and get in touch with these kids as part of the plan. After that, they will be given the opportunity to enroll in skill-building programs or return to formal education.

To do this, police officers are collaborating closely with school boards, Delhi government education departments, and neighborhood NGOs. Children who express interest in returning to school will be given counseling and connected to local educational institutions, open schooling programs such as NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling), or vocational training. 
Individuals who are not prepared for conventional education will be directed toward skill-building programs. Depending on their age group and areas of interest, these could include spoken English, basic computer training, or job-specific skills.

A STEP TO CREATE OPPORTUNITIES AND DECREASE CRIME

According to the Delhi Police, this action could enhance the prospects for vulnerable youngsters and assist avoid juvenile delinquency. "It's about progress and prevention," a representative stated. Children are less likely to participate in dangerous behaviors or criminal activity when they are actively studying or earning money.
