NDA, NA 2 Exam on September 13: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) Examination II, 2026 on September 13, 2026. This exam will be held in pen and paper mode in offline mode at different centers all over the country.
This NDA & NA II Exam is organized for those candidates who wish to join the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy for their career as officers in the Indian Armed Forces.

As per the exam schedule, the written test will be conducted in two shifts on September 13.

394 Vacancies Through NDA, NA II 2026
For the current examination, there are a total of 394 notified vacancies. Out of which, there are 370 vacancies for male candidates and 24 vacancies for female candidates.
There is an option available in the recruitment procedure where candidates will have the chance to get trained in the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy so that they can go for commissioned officer positions in the Armed Forces.
Registration Process Completed
The application process for NDA and NA II 2026 started on 20th May 2026. Later on, UPSC extended the deadline for the submission of applications, and the candidates could apply till 11th June 2026. The window for registrations is now closed.
Selection Process
For selection into the NDA and NA, the first step towards the same would be the written test. Once the candidates clear the written test, they can then be called for the interview process by the Services Selection Board (SSB).
The final selection will depend on their performance in the written test and SSB assessment, provided they fulfill all the eligibility criteria, including the medical criteria.
