National Defence and Naval Academies Exam Dates Released

National Defense Academy & Naval Academy Examination (I) schedule has been released by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). On April 12, 2026, Defense & Naval 2026 exams will be held offline across the country.

The General Ability Test will occur between 2 pm and 4:30 pm. The Mathematics test will occur during the first shift between 10 am and 12:30 pm.

The Combined Defence Services (CDS) exam will be conducted on April 12, 2026. The English paper will be conducted between 9 and 11 a.m. The paper on general knowledge will be conducted from 12:30 and 2:30 p.m. The paper on elementary mathematics will be conducted from 4 to 6 p.m.

In order to shortlist the applicants qualified enough in Class 12 and select them for admission in the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of the National Defence Academy and Indian Naval Academy, the UPSC holds the NDA & NA examination in its routine twice a year.

In all, 370 vacancies for men and 24 vacancies for women have been filled through this test. About 208 vacancies exist in the Army, 42 vacancies exist in the Navy, 120 vacancies exist in the Air Force, and 24 vacancies exist within the Naval Academy.

The only thing the candidates are expected to write and mark their answers with, using the OMR sheet (Answer Sheet), is the black ball pen if they sit the test.
