New Delhi, August 15, 2026: Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India with great enthusiasm, patriotic fervour and a vibrant display of student talent at the DSEU Headquarters, Sector 9, Dwarka, New Delhi. The celebration brought together hundreds of students, faculty members, staff, Campus Directors and senior officials from across the University's campuses in a spirited celebration of India's freedom and the values of unity, progress and nation-building.
The programme was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Ashok Kumar Nagawat, Vice-Chancellor, DSEU, as the Chief Guest, and Shailendra Singh Parihar, IAS, Registrar, DSEU, as the Guest of Honour.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. (Dr.) Ashok Kumar Nagawat, Vice-Chancellor, DSEU, extended his warm greetings to the entire DSEU community on the occasion of Independence Day. He emphasised that independence is not only a celebration of the nation's freedom but also a reminder of the responsibilities that come with it. He encouraged students to utilise their knowledge, skills and creativity for nation-building and to contribute towards creating a stronger, more skilled and self-reliant India.
As the Chief Guest, Prof. Nagawat also highlighted the important role of young people in shaping India's future. He urged students to remain committed to excellence, innovation, entrepreneurship and social responsibility, while carrying forward the ideals and values for which the nation's freedom fighters made immense sacrifices.
Shailendra Singh Parihar, IAS, Registrar, DSEU, as the Guest of Honour, appreciated the enthusiastic participation of students, faculty and staff in the celebration. He emphasised the importance of discipline, dedication and collective effort in contributing to the University's growth and to the larger goal of national development. He also appreciated the students for presenting a vibrant reflection of India's cultural diversity and patriotic spirit through their performances.
The Independence Day celebration featured a series of captivating student performances, including patriotic songs, energetic dance performances, dramatic presentations and other cultural acts. The performances showcased the creativity, confidence and talent of DSEU students and created a vibrant and electrifying atmosphere throughout the programme. The students' performances not only entertained the audience but also conveyed powerful messages of patriotism, unity and pride in the nation.
Dr. Pankaj Lathar, Controller of Finance and Director, Public Relations, DSEU, addressed and motivated the students on the occasion. Speaking about the sacrifices of India's freedom fighters, he reminded the gathering of the courage, resilience and determination that shaped India's journey to independence. He urged students to remember the contributions of the freedom fighters and honour their legacy by becoming responsible citizens, developing their capabilities and contributing positively to society and the nation.
The celebration witnessed enthusiastic participation from hundreds of students, faculty members, staff and Campus Directors from various DSEU campuses, reflecting the University's strong sense of community and togetherness. Their collective participation added to the festive spirit and made the occasion a memorable celebration for the entire DSEU fraternity.
Dr. Narayan Aggarwal, Campus Director, DSEU Dwarka Campus, delivered the vote of thanks. He expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, University leadership, Campus Directors, faculty members, staff and students for their valuable presence and enthusiastic participation in making the Independence Day celebration a grand success.
