New Delhi, May 30: After reports emerged about the technical glitches faced at many test centers, hundreds of candidates appearing for the CUET UG 2026 had a hard time over the weekend. NTA rescheduled the test timings at many affected centers, advancing the exam timing by an hour after the glitch.
The commencement of the exam at many centers was allegedly delayed due to some computer-based technical issue. This delay of one hour in the afternoon shift was done to ensure that the candidate finishes his/her test without any further confusion or inconvenience.
The new schedule was officially shared with candidates. The concern over the last-minute change was expressed by quite a lot of parents and students, especially those who had made lengthy journeys in order to reach their exam centers.
According to the NTA, everything needed was done in order to solve the technical problems and ensure the smooth running of all other exams. Moreover, candidates were informed that nothing bad would happen to any student because of the delay.
Once again, concerns regarding the administering of nationwide admission tests have been raised because of the event. Students used social networks in order to share their opinions on what was going on and how to improve the test process.
CUET UG is one of the largest exams taken by undergraduates in the country, being conducted for admissions into various central, state, deemed, and private universities. Coordinated planning and readiness to use technology play important roles in conducting a successful exam, given that there are so many candidates appearing in the test every year.
