CTET September 2026 Notification Out : Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) September 2026 Registration Process Has Begun, CBSE Reports. As per reports from the CBSE website, the 22nd CTET will be held on September 6, 2026, on Sunday. The students can register themselves online through cbse.gov.in and ctet.nic.in, which are the official websites.
Applicants can apply for CTET online till June 10, 2026, up to 11:59 p.m. The online registration process has been started by the board from May 11, 2026. The board is also informing about the possibility of holding the exam on September 5, 2026, on Saturday, if there is an increase in the number of applicants.

The candidate should go through the details of eligibility criteria, educational criteria, and examination instructions provided in the official bulletin before they submit their application forms.
Moreover, candidates wishing to change details in their application form can use the facility of rectification provided by the board. Rectification of uploaded details is possible from June 15 to June 18, 2026. The admit card will be released two days prior to the exam date.
For teaching positions in government schools, such as Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodaya Vidyalaya, and others that require CTET scores, candidates are required to write the CTET exam. The CTET exam will be held in 132 cities throughout the country in 27 languages.
For those who wish to become teachers of Classes 1 to 5, they should write Paper I, while for Classes 6 to 8, candidates need to attempt Paper II. Both Paper I and Paper II are open for those wishing to teach Classes 1 to 8.
Under the CBSE guidelines, an applicant would be considered CTET qualified if they score at least 60 percent of the total marks. But as CTET is a qualifying criterion for hiring teachers, getting qualified in CTET does not guarantee job appointment.
