Career Counselling at Ramjas College
...

A career counseling session on the opportunities available in the Armed Forces was successfully organized for the NCC cadets (boys and girls) of Ramjas College, which falls under the University of Delhi, on 18th February 2026. The event was organized by Georgians Defence Academy and led by its Director, Kunwar Pratap Singh, who has more than 25 years of experience in guiding and mentoring defense aspirants. His rich experience and expertise in the field have been of immense value to the session, which motivated the cadets to work towards their goals with clear vision and determination. This is the second consecutive year that such an event has been organized, which shows the commitment to helping young defense aspirants in shaping their careers in the Armed Forces.

The session was on career opportunities via competitive exams like NDA (National Defence Academy), CDS (Combined Defence Services), and AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test). In-depth information was shared on how to prepare for the written tests, including understanding the syllabus, planning, time management, and study material. A special focus was given on how to prepare for the SSB (Services Selection Board) interview, which includes topics like officer-like qualities (OLQs), leadership qualities, personality development, psychological tests, group discussions, and personal interviews. Tips and personal experiences were shared on how to prepare for the SSB interview so that cadets can face it confidently and genuinely. The counseling session was interactive, where cadets could ask their queries on topics like eligibility, pattern of exams, training institutes, and life in the Armed Forces.

The event was designed to encourage and empower the NCC cadets to take up a career in the Armed Forces with discipline, dedication, and a sense of national service. It is through this initiative that the institution and the organizers have once again proven their dedication to guiding and assisting the young defense aspirants in achieving their dream of a well-planned career path.
