New Delhi: In an exceptional endeavor for the welfare and all-round development of deprived children, Bharat Vatsalya Trust, headed by Poonam Ahlawat Lakra, is creating a huge difference through its effort towards educating, guiding, and mentoring needy children from economically weak families.
The Trust provides necessary study materials to children based on their educational needs so that economic factors should not be an obstruction for them in their studies. From note books to stationary, the effort has made a positive difference in the lives of many needy children.
Apart from education, the Bharat Vatsalya Trust organizes Moral Education Classes two times a week where the kids are educated about essential values of life like honesty, discipline, respect, kindness, and responsibility. The classes help in shaping responsible citizens as well as developing their personality.
Also, a weekly Hanuman Puja is held on Tuesdays along with Prasad distribution involving almost 70 to 80 kids in a devotional and positive environment. This weekly meeting has become a much-awaited event for the kids.

All the children are bestowed with one special wish each year on their birthday that makes their birthday really special and makes them realize that each and every child deserves love, appreciation and happiness.
Realizing the significance of online education, Bharat Vatsalya Trust has also given smartphones to worthy children who did not have any access to internet education.
Discussing the mission of the Trust, Poonam Ahlawat Lakra pointed out that social service is not limited only to material help. "Education, moral values, emotional support and equality of opportunities are crucial for building the better future of each child. It is our mission to make sure that no child will be deprived of anything due to poverty," she noted.
