3 more universities declared fake by UGC

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has declared 3 more universities fake and recommends parents, students and teachers not to apply for enrolment or admission into the mentioned fake universities. Under the Higher Education Regulation, the degrees and/or credentials conferred by these universities will not qualify you for employment either in government or higher education.
These institutions were recently discovered operating in Delhi, Karnataka and Maharashtra, and are accused of awarding degrees in violation of the UGC Act, of 1956.
In its latest notification, the UGC named the following institutions as fake universities:
- National Backward Krushi Vidypeeth, Tadwal, Tal Akkalkot, District Solapur, Maharashtra
- Sarva Bharatiya Shiksha Peeth, Near SK Choultary, Devanur Main Road, Vijaya Nagara, Tumkur, Karnataka
- National Institute of Management Solution (NIMS), Janakpuri, New Delhi
All three organisations have been identified as fraudulent institutions by the UGC in their official listing of fake Universities on the Official website of University Grants Commission.
According to the UGC, the National Backward Krushi Vidypeeth has offered degrees without legal authority and also indicated that it has not been recognised by any statutory authority such as AICTE, has been listed under 2(f) of the 1956 UGC Act nor have they been declared as a university under 3 of the Act;
Likewise, the Sarva Bhartiya Shiksha Peeth has been determined to have granted degrees without legal authority. As with the National Backward Krushi Vidypeeth the UGC has stated that since the Sarva Bhartiya Shiksha Peeth is not recognised by any statutory authority they also have no right to give degrees/diplomas of any kind.
Additionally, NIMS Janakpuri, New Delhi received the most severe warning possible from the UGC. The UGC has stated that it did not authorise NIMS to admit students to either bachelor's or master's degrees, whether they be directly or through a third party.
The UGC has stated that therefore any degrees that have been issued by NIMS to date will not be recognised for use by government employment or for further studies beyond a secondary level.
The UGC issued a warning that students enrolling in these types of self-styled universities may jeopardize their academic future and career options. The UGC stressed that this is a serious situation.
Parents and prospective students should verify the recognised status of these universities before applying for admission.
