10 Taiwanese Universities visit New Delhi

This week, representatives from ten Taiwanese institutions traveled to New Delhi to discuss potential partnerships with Indian universities for internships and dual-degree programs.
Additionally, they offered options for Indian students, such as degree course grants and exchange programs in sustainability, artificial intelligence, and semiconductors.
Among those in India were representatives of Taiwanese universities, such as Tamkang University, National Tsing Hua University, National Kaohsiung Normal University, China Medical University, National Formosa University, and Shih Chien University. Courses in technology, STEM and associated research, semiconductors, health and life sciences, and business administration are offered at both public and private universities.
Taiwan offers more than 200 English-taught programs in addition to assistance for Mandarin language learners.
In 2025, there were approximately 1,495 Indian students seeking degrees in Taiwan out of over 47,600 overseas students, up from 649 ten years prior, according to data given by Taiwan's Ministry of Education. Of the approximately 1,500 Indian students, 963 were enrolled in PhD programs, while 445 were enrolled in master's programs.
Furthermore, in 2025, there were around 1,029 Indian non-degree students in Taiwan, compared to 359 ten years prior.
With 665 Indian students enrolled in engineering and associated programs in 2025, these courses are the most popular among Indian students in Taiwan. With 201 Indian students enrolled, Physical Sciences and Chemistry came next, followed by Business Administration with 128 Indian students.
