NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam : On 21st June, National Testing Agency will conduct NEET UG 2026 re-exam. The organizing authority has made available the marking scheme and number of questions in physics, chemistry, and biology subjects for Re-NEET aspirants through a social media update published today.

Announcing this, NTA has said on its official X account, "With a balanced structure in physics, chemistry, and biology subjects, NEET UG 2026 allows candidates to take the exam with assurance".

The structure of "one examination, one fair field" for NEET UG 2026 re-examination according to NTA is stated as follows:

There will be a total of 180 questions for a total of 720 marks. A total of 45 questions for 180 marks constitute the paper for Physics. A total of 45 questions for 180 marks constitute the paper for Chemistry. A total of 90 questions for 360 marks will constitute the paper for Biology. Moreover, NTA has stated that candidates are allowed to take home the question booklet.

Each correct answer will be awarded four marks according to the marking scheme of the examination body. One mark will be deducted from the candidate for each incorrect answer. 

As per the formal exam announcement, the following points have been emphasized: "The exam hall will be opened at 11.00 a.m. After 1.30 pm, nobody will be allowed to enter the exam hall. Test booklets will be distributed to candidates by the invigilator at 1.45 pm." No candidate would be allowed access to the test site without a valid admission card. Anything that may prove to be used improperly or anything prohibited will not be allowed.

On the day of the exam, the candidate must bring the following documents to be eligible for sitting for the exam: "Hard copy of the Re-NEET admit card which has been received from the NTA website Two passport size photographs (same as on the exam form) One genuine identity proof in case the candidate is applying for relaxation in PwBD category, then certificate of physical limitation to write and PwBD certificate must be produced."
