Delhi University announces CSAS-UG 2026 Schedule (Round 3): New Delhi, July 31: The University of Delhi (DU) has announced the schedule of Round 3 of the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS-UG) 2026, offering yet another chance to numerous aspiring undergraduate students who wish to take admission into the renowned colleges of the university. The schedule of Round 3 of seat allotment is set to be released on August 8, 2026, while the mid-entry application process will start from August 3.
The announcement was made after the successful completion of the first two rounds of admission in which 71,000 students have secured seats so far in different undergraduate courses for the academic year 2026-27.
Third Round to Fill Remaining Vacancies
The third round is anticipated to fill up the vacant seats in the various colleges affiliated to Delhi University. Those students that chose the “Upgrade” option in the previous rounds and candidates that are eligible for fresh admission under mid-entry will be considered in this round based on their CUET UG 2026 marks, category, preference, and availability of seats.
It is advised by university authorities to check the CSAS admission website for any further news concerning the allotment and admission process.
Mid-Entry Registration Begins August 3
One of the main features of the announcement is the opening of the admission window of Mid-Entry, which will remain open until August 3.
This window is meant for those students who:
• Missed the earlier stages of admission.
• Did not complete the process of admission in the past.
• Have a desire to join the other rounds of counseling.
It should be noted here that some specific categories are excluded from mid entry in the university.
Round 3 Seat Allotment on August 8
As per the new admission calendar,
• Mid-Year Admissions Registration: August 3, 2026
• Third CSAS Seat Allocation: August 8, 2026
• The candidates who get their seats allotted will then be required to confirm their allotments within the specified timeframe, and colleges will then check documents and admit candidates before taking fees.
It is recommended that all students complete all processes before the deadline, failing which their allotments might get canceled.
Over 71,000 Admissions Already Confirmed
Delhi University has yet again experienced a tough round of admissions. With two rounds of counselling over, there have been more than 71,000 admissions in the university already, suggesting that there is high demand for programmes in Arts, Commerce, Sciences, and other fields.
Popular colleges like Hindu College, Hansraj College, Miranda House, Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), Lady Shri Ram College, and Sri Venkateswara College have continued to receive high CUET scores, but there has still been stiff competition for programmes like Economics, Psychology, Political Science, English, Computer Science, and Commerce & Business programmes.
Upgrade Opportunity for Existing Candidates
Those candidates who have availed of the seats in the earlier rounds but opted for the Upgrade will be allotted to a higher preference program/college based on vacancies and merit.
In case they get the upgrade, the previously availed of seat will automatically get cancelled in favor of the newly allotted program.
