CBSE Board Exams
...

Beginning in 2026, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) intends to administer the Class 10 board exam twice annually, enabling students to retake exams and keep their top results.

The National Education Policy (NEP 2020), which encourages adaptability and a student-centered approach, is in line with this reform.
The heads of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), as well as CBSE officials, met with Dharmendra Pradhan's Education Ministry to discuss draft schemes that will be made public on Monday.

“Examination improvement and reform is a key step towards this. Pradhan stated, "This reform will help ensure a more balanced evaluation system and mitigate exam-related stress." He claimed that this program would help students learn without experiencing any stress.
